Ephesians 3:20
When Paul wrote to the Ephesians, he was doing so stuck behind bars in prison. How he was able to do that is beyond me. It mustn’t have been easy for him. Think about it…
He was in a place so dark and he was on his own. That kind of solitary confinement doesn’t play well with the mind. Can you imagine what it must have been like? Maybe you can. Maybe you have been in a place where you feel so alone and there has been nothing but darkness around you. You don’t have to physically be in a cell to experience this.
You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way. Song of Solomon 4:7
My daughter was standing in front of the mirror one day and I caught her admiring herself. I am ok with her doing this because she wasn’t doing it in a vain way. What made me notice her was how confident she looked in herself. She knows she is beautiful.
My daughter knows she is beautiful because it is something that has been instilled into her ever since she was born. We have told all our children how beautiful they are. It doesn’t matter what anyone else says, because what we say matters most of all.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:29-31
I often lose sight of how significant I am to God. When I look at other people, I can see how much they are worth. Yet when I look at myself, I struggle to see what significant impact I can have on those around me. It’s like I get stuck in this pit of low self-worth and I don’t see what value I can bring.

What do you do when challenges hit you? You know, those moments when it seems week after week something else crops up to try and get you down.
~Do you face them head on? ~Or do you shrink back and retreat? ~Maybe you look to something else for comfort?
When I am faced with a challenge, my default mechanism is to look to materialistic things to help me through; What does the internet have to say about this dilemma? I know, I will have a rant on Twitter about what I am going through. Or maybe I will post something on Facebook to see if I can find some support. Ultimately, there is always a nice glass of wine at the end of the day to make me feel better.
