Day 2 – Don’t Be Afraid

This takes a lot to admit this, but right now in my current situation, I am afraid. I am down right scared of what the future holds. It’s like I’m walking through a thick, dense forrest and I can’t see a way through to the other side.

There are so many branches in the way that I literally can’t see the wood for the trees. Somewhere deep in that forrest is a path, but I just can’t seem to find my way to it. There are so many fallen branches, rocks and boulders blocking my path to climb over before I can get there.

Anyone else feel like this?

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

When Israel felt lost and hopeless, Moses reassured them of the presence of God that is constantly with them. He assured them to have faith in God to guide them and it will bring hope. They need not be afraid.

Although this promise was made to Israel a long time ago, this is still relevant to us today.

What are you going through right now? Do not be afraid. You are not alone. Whatever you are going through, be strong and courageous for the Lord your God is with you.
